My name is Tomas Dawid Heimann. If I am correct, this Leopold Heimann married Gertrude Zucker and emigrated to Uruguay in 1939, in which case I am his grandson, son of Annemarie Heimann, the youngest daughter of Leopold and Gertrude, being Lore and Otto her brothers. I recognized the painting; in my youth, we had several paintings and drawings from Leopold, unfortunately we don´t know where they are or who owns them...
Welcome to the blog for the descendants of Haium Löb Heimann, who took this surname in 1824, in accordance with a law in Württemberg, Germany that required all Jews to take a permanent family name. He chose the name Heimann because that's what his German customers called him, as they had difficulty pronouncing the Hebrew name Haium.
If you would like a copy of the family tree, please contact paheimann@gmail.com, and tell me your relationship to Haium.
